The comprehensive rehabilitation of a heritage protected building in the 'pre-eixample' of Barcelona, has been the engine to generate 15 high-standard homes, taking advantage of the original architectural elements. The elements of the existing building have been valued, not only on a decorative level, but also on a constructive level, such as the wooden beam and Catalan volta slabs or the exposed brick walls. The result has been homes with a contemporary distribution, with wide and open spaces, that also contain historical elements of the same building to give warmth inside.
